Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of BuildWithGit, including the main site, learning content, challenge platform, paid access, and related BuildWithGit services.

Content Use

Use the platform for learning, not for republishing or reselling.

Your Code

You keep ownership of your submissions.

Restricted

No scraping, paywall bypass, or copying challenge content.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BuildWithGit, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
  • You may not share accounts, impersonate another person, or access another user’s account without permission.

3. Limited License to Use BuildWithGit

Subject to these terms, BuildWithGit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the platform for your own personal, internal, or authorized educational use.

4. Ownership of Platform Content

BuildWithGit and its licensors own the platform and its protected content, including but not limited to challenge statements, lessons, quizzes, tests, scoring logic, editorial content, explanations, layout, copy, graphics, branding, downloadable materials, and the overall structure and presentation of the service.

Except where we explicitly publish a separate license for a specific repository, asset, or material, you may not:

  • copy, mirror, scrape, republish, or redistribute our challenges, lessons, or course content;
  • sell, sublicense, bundle, or commercially exploit our content or challenge design;
  • publish solution keys, internal tests, grading logic, or proprietary challenge assets;
  • reuse our content to build, seed, or market a competing education, assessment, or interview-prep product;
  • remove copyright, trademark, or attribution notices from our materials.

You may use the service in the normal way it is offered to you, including working through challenges, cloning authorized submission repositories, and using starter materials that we specifically make available for that purpose.

5. User Code, Submissions, and Feedback

  • You retain ownership of code and other content you create and submit to BuildWithGit.
  • You grant BuildWithGit a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, run, test, analyze, and display your submissions as necessary to operate the service, evaluate challenges, maintain progress, debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve platform reliability.
  • You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your code and content.
  • If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without obligation or compensation.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use BuildWithGit to:

  • violate law or the rights of others;
  • circumvent paywalls, access controls, or challenge gating;
  • probe, attack, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt our infrastructure;
  • use automated scraping, bulk extraction, or bots to copy platform content at scale;
  • upload malware, destructive code, or material that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive;
  • use challenge or execution infrastructure for unrelated compute workloads;
  • interfere with the experience, accounts, or data of other users.

7. Paid Plans and Checkout

  • Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase.
  • Pricing, billing interval, and included access are shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed through Razorpay or other providers we may designate.
  • Unless we state otherwise in writing, fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
  • We may change prices prospectively. Price changes do not retroactively rewrite completed purchases.

8. Third-Party Services

BuildWithGit may integrate with or link to third-party services such as Google, GitHub, Facebook, Razorpay, and external repositories. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their independent practices.

9. Availability and Changes

We may update, change, suspend, or remove features, content, pricing, or platform access at any time. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, create security risk, fail to pay required fees, or engage in conduct that harms BuildWithGit or other users.

11. Disclaimers

BuildWithGit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, uninterrupted access, or that the service will always be free of bugs, outages, or security incidents.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildWithGit and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above.
